Autism

As an Autistic-owned business, we understand the need to engage, support and promote our community.

We endeavour to provide a range of products that are suitable for the community.  Everybody Autistic person is different, some may need support, some may not.

Autistic people may:

find it hard to communicate and interact with other people
find it hard to understand how other people think or feel
find things like bright lights or loud noises overwhelming, stressful or uncomfortable
get anxious or upset about unfamiliar situations and social events
take longer to understand information
do or think the same things over and over

To support our community, we donate 100% of the proceeds from the sale of products within our Autism Product collection to:

The A World UK CIC - https://www.theaworlduk.com/

Puzzle Piece:

In 2023, we undertook a survey on the compatibility of 'Puzzle Piece' in variance to the generally accepted 'Infinity' as the representative logo of the community.  Our finding was that the majority of Autistic people preferred the new 'Infinity' design, with some taking offence to instances of misuse of the 'Puzzle Piece' logo historically.

After some soul-searching from our Autistic owner, we made the difficult decision to keep representation for both logos for the time being.  This is because we have customers and members of the community that still find connection with the historic logo, some are even tattooed with it.  We couldn't, with good conscious, alienate these people from our community.

We received some negative feedback, though we maintain the decision was taken with inclusivity at our heart.  In a community that sometimes doesn't like change, that often feels on the outside, we truly feel that we made the best decision.

Our stance is subject to regular review and over time, the trend lines show that a full transfer to the 'Infinity Logo' is likely inevitable.
